Ayurvedic Crepe and breakfast alternatives

When you start a new diet, deotx, regime what you call, the main problem is you start repeating yourself and get bored and give up. So it is really important to have some variety in your diet.

I tired many diets in my life, from keto to IF, vegan to now Ayurvedic.

The reason why this one resonates me is because there are so many ingredients to play with and I love playing with spices, herbs, and recipes.

If you start counting calories, timings, carbs..it gets very complicated and one can give up it all.

Breakfast is very important for me. I tried skipping it for many months and ove the years but most days I need a strong start to the day. And it has to have something sweet, something warm and with some protein!

This creative crepe recipe from Laura Plumb's Book, Ayurveda Cooking for Beginners is really a delightful suprise! You can find the recipe in her blog, here.

Mainly you soak mung beans and rice over night, next day you blend them and let stand for another 10 hours. After that you add spices and cook! You can decorate with fruit compote (recipe here) or honey or maple syrup, nut butters, yogurt or fresh fruits, all up to your creativity. She gives a mix of orange juice-honey-cinnamon mix, which is the perfect combination!! You can also add cottage cheese and zahtar spice and make it a savory snack.

I made a big batch and used it for next day in addition to my omelette.

I also love my Ayurvedic warm and spicy porridge in the morning and try to keep it a small bowl (as it is very nutritious with healthy fats and complete carbs) and again couple it with an egg. You can find my recipe here.

Enjoy these delicious recipes in the mornings and keep your tummy happy and heart warm!

Afiyet olsun, Enjoy!
